Local Homemaker Centre Celebrates 1st Birthday With Community Support

Surviving the 1st year in business is a milestone worth celebrating.

To mark their own very special occasion, Waurn Ponds Homemaker Centre invited the locals from the community it services to join the party, at an action-packed, free event that offered fun for all the family on Saturday, November 18.

Community Connections Count

The much-loved homemaker hub is home to a fantastic group of retailers, including:

  • Toys R Us
  • Officeworks
  • AMart Furniture
  • Petstock

For the 500-strong crowd, it was a chance to show their continued support for the convenience the Homemaker Centre offers the Waurn Ponds’ community and for the retailers themselves, it was an important opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to the community that has made their first year in business such a brilliant success.

With exclusive performances by Melbourne’s favourite children’s entertainers, The Mik Maks, plus the presence of local radio station Bay FM, other activities for all ages to enjoy included; cupcake decorating, an animal farm, roving magicians, balloon sculpting and face painting.

Happy Birthday, Waurn Ponds Homemaker Centre!

Guests at the Waurn Ponds Homemaker Centre 1st birthday party were also given the chance to win, with a Spin to Win Prize Wheel - PLUS the pre-Christmas opportunity to take advantage of some great birthday sale offers from each one of the centre’s retailers.

With this pivotal first year behind them, the Waurn Ponds Homemaker Centre will continue to expand, helping to support local employment and provide the close-knit community with access to great retail options.
